There’s more than one way to place your bets as we count down to the Grand National with the return of our online “tweetstake”. Twitter users can be in with the chance of scooping one of three prizes by following us and retweeting our dedicated tweetstake post.
Winners will be announced on our twitter page, and anyone joining us at Bedale Point to Point will once again be treated to a big screen view of the race, so you can keep your eye on the action at Aintree while submersing yourself in the atmosphere at the highlight of Yorkshire’s amateur steeplechase calendar.
On Thursday 5th April, we’ll be pinning a post to our Twitter profile. You can find us at twitter.com/McClarrons.
The first 40 entrants who follow McClarrons’ Twitter account and then retweet the pinned post (the post which will be static at the top of our activity feed) will be assigned a horse running in the Grand National at random, on 12th April.
Those who have horses which come in at 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will win a prize:
1st prize – £50 voucher for Andrew Pern’s Star Inn at Harome
2nd prize – Afternoon tea for 2 at Betty’s
3rd prize – £25 voucher for Millbry Hill
You can follow the race and your chances once again on McClarrons’ giant screen at the Bedale Point to Point, or keep checking back on Twitter, where the winners will be announced.
Competition Terms & Conditions:
Entrants may only enter once – multiple entries will not be counted.
Entrants must be 18 years old or older.
You must be following McClarrons on Twitter and have retweeted their competition tweet to have a valid entry.
Entries must be in before 10.00GMT on 12th April. Each entrant will be allocated a horse at random, these will be announced on Twitter on 12th April. Those who are assigned a horse that comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place on the Grand National race will win a prize.
The winners will be announced after the Grand National race on 14th April on McClarrons’ Twitter page.
Employees of McClarrons or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
