Get to know our new Head Of Commercial, Julian Hale

As we enter a new year, we welcome a new member to our management team – Julian Hale – who joins as our Head Of Commercial. Find out more about Julian as we delve into his role and previous insurance experience.

Julian joins McClarrons with over 36 years of experience in the insurance industry. Eager to support the advancement of the company’s commercial insurance proposition and continued expansion, Julian has previous experience driving growth and success in the commercial arena, having founded his own commercial insurance brokerage in 2010, which he grew from a team of 3 to over 20, looking after a multitude of different businesses’ insurance portfolios, and which he sold in 2019.

During his time as a business owner, Julian particularly enjoyed and found satisfaction in implementing systems, mentoring and developing his team and colleagues, as well as bringing on board and retaining commercial clients. Julian’s extensive understanding of the technicalities of commercial insurance, as well as his vast practical experience in assessing commercial clients’ risks, priorities and operations in order to build insurance programmes that successfully accommodate and address these, puts him in prime position to be able to lead our team of commercial-focussed Client Executives and Client Advisors.

Julian said of his appointment: “I hope that I can play an essential role in ensuring that the team members experience the same sense of accomplishment from the insurance industry as I have”.

Julian is passionate about ensuring that the high level of service that was so evident in the insurance industry at the start of his career remains alive and well, sitting closely with McClarrons’ mantra of ‘service without compromise’, and is looking forward to getting back to working in an independent, family-run broker that’s values remain at the core of its operations.

Garry Davies, our Managing Director, adds: “I am confident that Julian will bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude and some fresh perspective; we are sure he will be a great addition to McClarrons and will be key in helping our Commercial Team reach the next level, aiding business growth and continuing to provide impeccable service to our clients.”

We look forward to seeing how our Commercial Team continue to develop, helping a huge variety of businesses across the country to ensure they have the right insurance protection in place to protect them now and into the future.
