About The Programme
The Future Professionals Programme is a 6-month structured development programme designed for school, college or university leavers (aged 18-25) looking to begin a professional career in insurance.
From day one, you will become part of the business, gaining hands-on experience while developing your technical knowledge and professional skills through a combination of:
- Real exposure to client work
- Structured classroom-style learning
- Revision workshops
- Independent study
You will also be supported in working towards your Chartered Institute of Insurance (Cert CII) –Insurance, Legal and Regulatory (IF1) qualification, providing you with a recognised foundation within the insurance industry.

Do I need previous experience in insurance to apply?
No, we are looking for potential, not experience. The programme is designed for school, college, or university leavers who are motivated to learn and build a career in insurance.
What qualifications do I need?
There are no strict subject requirements but you should have a strong academic foundation and be able to communicate clearly and confidently. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
Is this a paid programme?
Yes, you will earn a salary while completing the programme and gaining valuable industry experience.
How long is the programme and what happens after it ends?
The Future Professionals Programme runs for 6 months. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to progress into a full-time role within McClarrons. Many employees have built successful long-term careers within the business, working in the business for years to come.
Will I receive support during the programme?
Absolutely. You’ll receive dedicated mentoring from experienced colleagues, structured training and revision support, and ongoing guidance throughout your development.
When does the programme start?
The programme is scheduled to begin on 7th September, with a Selection Day for the programme being held on 8th July.
