Head of Farm

We are looking for an experienced manager to take on the role of Head of Farm. We are looking for someone who can help develop our team of Farm Account Executives and assist with the growth of our Farm account.

Farm Account Executive

We are looking for an experienced Farm Account Executive to help develop and maintain our Farm account. Experience in the insurance and/or rural industry is required, with a keen interest in further developing specialist knowledge in required areas.

How did you get to where you are now?

“I started at McClarrons carrying out administrative duties, filing and answering phones. Shortly after, I progressed into working as a Personal Lines Account Handler, which grew my interest on insurance especially in business insurance. As the business grew I was given the opportunity to become a Commercial Account Handler. Through working hard and being a committed and reliable member of the team, my duties were increased and I took on the role of Assistant Team Leader. After three and a half years in this position, I was promoted to Commercial Team Leader where I enjoyed managing a large team, helping them develop as individuals and supporting the growth of the business. I am now Area Team Manager, overseeing operations at our Area offices whilst undertaking project management.”

How did you get to where you are now?

“After studying Economics at the University of Sheffield, I took on an Account Handler role with an insurance broker. Having gained 3 years of experience, I then started at McClarrons as a Trainee Account Executive. After 6 months in the position and achieving DIP CII, I was promoted to Account Executive. My role varies from day to day, meaning I’m always welcoming new challenges and having to think on my feet. The most enjoyable part of working at McClarrons is being part of the fantastic team, where everyone helps each other. I am now working towards completing my ACII.”

How did you get to where you are now?

“After studying Business Management and IT at University, I started my career at McClarrons in the Claims Team, which allowed me to understand insurance policies and how McClarrons supports clients, assisting with all their insurance needs. Since then, I decided to make a move into the role of Management & Finance Assistant, which has allowed me to develop a greater commercial understanding of McClarrons and offer support in facilitating the increased growth of the business. What I enjoy the most is that no day is the same. There is a lot of variety within my role, which allows me to put my degree into practice. I am currently looking to further advance my Excel skills through an advance Excel course, which will enable me to better support our Finance Manager when required.”

How did you get to where you are now?

“After starting at McClarrons with no insurance knowledge and coming from a sales background, I was given the support and training needed to become an Account Handler in the Commercial Team. My day to day role involves processing renewals, assisting and advising clients, dealing with insurers and assisting with our McClarrons Sport arm of the business, where required. The most enjoyable part of working at McClarrons is that I learn something new and expand my knowledge on a daily basis. I also enjoy getting to speak to new people and learning about new businesses every day.”

How did you get to where you are now?

“I started at McClarrons 4 years ago as an Account Handler within the Commercial Team. Last year, I was promoted to Lead Handler; this role involved heading up Find A Way and Lessons Learned meetings, helping us to find solutions to any issues which may arise throughout the company and to look at how we can develop. I have recently been promoted to Commercial Team Manager, where I manage the team’s workflow, highlighting where support is needed. I also oversee new business prospects and am involved in representing the team in Operations and Sales Meetings. What I enjoy the most about working at McClarrons is being part of a team with staggered knowledge and experience, it means I learn something new every day!”
