Committed to continuing our growth in 2024, we have introduced a few more new starters since we had three members join our Care & Social Welfare Team and Head of Commercial, Julian Hale join earlier this year. Here we introduce to you Megan, Ian and Nandini.
Ian has joined our expanding Care & Social Welfare Team as a Client Advisor. Hailing from Yorkshire, he began his career working in local government in the North-East of England and then went on to work in various sectors such as private security, financial services, and public and private health care, which included working in organisations such as the NHS and Bupa. Despite having experience in the care sector, Ian has not previously worked in a client-facing role in insurance and therefore looks forward to gaining experience in this area at McClarrons. Off the clock, Ian lives an active lifestyle and enjoys going on long walks, attending live concerts and watching football.
Of his appointment, Ian said: “I joined McClarrons because I like their company ethos and core values, and everyone I met during the selection process demonstrated how important these are to the culture of the company.”
Jonathan Copley, Head of Care & Social Welfare, commented: “I am really pleased Ian felt McClarrons was the right home for him. Ian brings with him his career experience and a thirst to learn. I have no doubt he will be an impactful member of not just the Care & Social Welfare Team but the wider business in the future.”
Also new to McClarrons is Nandini, who is a Global Marketing graduate from the University of York and has been appointed as Marketing Executive. Nandini started off as a Sociology student gaining work experience in various fields to find her true calling, which is when she stumbled upon marketing and never looked back! She has worked as a marketing intern in several small companies and is optimistic that McClarrons is the perfect place for her to kickstart her career. Nandini will be supporting our Marketing Team with various campaigns and maintaining McClarrons’ digital presence. Outside of work, Nandini is outgoing, enjoying singing and travelling.
Nandini said of her appointment: “Since my selection day, I have witnessed a very nurturing environment here at McClarrons; not only towards their clients but also internally among colleagues. The reason I chose to pursue McClarrons is because I believe they can provide me the space to learn and grow in the initial stages of my career, and to demonstrate, to the best of my abilities, the trust that has been placed in me.”
Emily Andrews, Head of Operations & Marketing, acknowledges McClarrons’ expansion and hiring efforts, stating: “The business has seen a great deal of growth over the past few years and with more on the horizon, ensuring we are producing good quality educational content for our clients, accessible information about how we can help those in our niche sectors, alongside executing on lots of exciting upcoming projects and campaigns, it’s important our Marketing Team continues to develop.”
Emily warmly welcomed Nandini to the marketing team by saying: “We’re delighted to welcome Nandini to our Marketing Team; Nandini’s varied experience through numerous marketing internships will no doubt stand her in good stead to assist the team and business in achieving our goals.”
Another fresh face at McClarrons is Megan, who has joined our Farm Team as a Client Executive. Megan’s experience in farming dates back to when she worked on her family’s farms; she later managed and scanned outdoor livestock farms for a major food producer. During her later tenure as NFU’s Agricultural New Business Developer, Megan discovered her passion for the dynamic insurance industry, which led her to transition her career focus. In her new role at McClarrons, Megan aspires to establish a robust client network and earn a reputation for reliability and integrity within a community that is so close to home. Top of Form Outside of work, Megan is a dedicated runner and enjoys hiking, skiing, and reading.
Having settled in at McClarrons, Megan comments: “I’m excited to have joined the McClarrons team who have forward-thinking values and visions, while also sticking to traditional client-focused approaches. I am looking forward to getting out and building relationships within the agricultural industry – an industry close to my heart.”
Head of Farm, Grant Hartley, shared his thoughts on Megan’s joining, saying: “I’m delighted to welcome Megan into our Farm Team. Having grown up in a farming family, including time in New Zealand, Megan has knowledge and understanding of both the opportunities and challenges facing our farming clients.
