McClarrons is proud to share a recent internal role change and two new faces in our Care & Social Welfare team, as we continue to strengthen our expertise and enhance the services we offer to our care sector clients. Here, we introduce you to Sophia, Natalie, and Sam.
Sophia has recently joined the Care & Social Welfare team as a Client Advisor. Before joining McClarrons, Sophia gained a broad range of experience across hospitality, care, legal research, and even worked as a law course representative. Most relevant to her role at McClarrons, she worked as a Support Worker with the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, supporting residents with learning disabilities with their day-to-day needs. Sophia has also completed her undergraduate degree as well as achieving a Masters in Law.
Sophia was drawn to McClarrons because of its strong client-first reputation, collaborative culture, and the opportunity to apply her skills in a new sector. She is looking forward to developing her expertise in insurance, taking on greater responsibilities, and contributing to the company’s continued success.
Sophia said of her appointment: “I’m excited to join a team that truly values building strong relationships and making a positive impact, both for clients and colleagues.”
Outside of work, Sophia is passionate about sport and fitness; she regularly goes to the gym, plays football, and will soon be joining a football team in Pocklington.
Natalie has also joined the Care & Social Welfare team as a Client Advisor. Natalie recently completed college, where she studied Business, and spent the last four years working in a busy restaurant. That role gave her valuable customer service experience, which she’s looking forward to applying in her new position at McClarrons.
Natalie said of her appointment: “I’m really excited to be starting at McClarrons, the opportunity really stood out to me because it’s such a friendly, social place, and the Care team is such a unique and interesting part of the insurance industry. I’m looking forward to learning and growing in the role, becoming confident in my position, and building strong relationships with clients.”
Outside of work, Natalie enjoys horse riding – she has two horses which she takes to local shows and loves doing a bit of cross-country for fun.
Many of our clients will already know Sam Speechley, who has been a key part of our Commercial Team over the past year. Sam recently made the move into our Care & Social Welfare team maintaining his role as a Client Advisor, where he works with a wide variety of clients – a challenge he’s enjoying.
Sam’s knowledge and experience make him a great asset to the team, and this change reflects our continued dedication to providing specialist support where it’s most needed.
Sam shared on his role change, “The role change has been an exciting step – the variety of clients always keeps me on my toes. It’s great to experience a different sector from where I started, to see both the similarities and the differences between them. I’m looking forward to developing the Social Farms & Gardens book and working with our insurer to create a product for McClarrons’ clients.”
If you’re a Care & Social Welfare client and would like to speak to Sam, don’t hesitate to get in touch, he’s always happy to help.
With the addition of Sophia and Natalie, who are currently working through their induction and training plans, alongside Sam’s new role within the team, the Care & Social Welfare team at McClarrons is stronger than ever. Their combined skills, experience, and enthusiasm will help us continue to deliver the high-quality, client-focused service that our clients expect.
