Merry Christmas from all at McClarrons

Merry Christmas from all at McClarrons

With the festive season upon us we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, as well as to let you know about our Christmas opening hours.

As we look forward to the new year, we reflect on the events of 2016. Watch our round-up video and read below to see what we have been up to this year!

Flooding in York
The New Year started with many of our clients waist-deep in water after Storms Eva, Frank and Desmond brought about terrible floods in Yorkshire and beyond. Our team at McClarrons were right beside our clients at this incredibly difficult time, to help move along the claims process and get their homes and businesses back to normal as soon as possible.

Fundraising events, charity capers and sponsorship
We’ve thrown ourselves into the region’s packed social calendar in 2016, sponsoring events that are important to us, including the RABI’s Magic of Farming Ball which raised £6,300 for the cause, exhibiting at the Independent Care Group Conference, as well as driving fundraising efforts to raise money for charities close to our hearts.
Our own farm team laced up their trainers and battled through nets, space hoppers and mud slides to the Pretty Muddy finish line, raising £685 for Cancer Research UK. The efforts for the charity continued in the more hospitable environment of our warm office on Wear it Pink day, with pink cakes, ties, shirts and even a cowboy hat!

For this year’s Aviva Community Fund we put forward Herriot Hospice Homecare in Northallerton and, having reached the final stages, we have our fingers crossed as we wait to hear the results.

Industry recognition, progression and education
Having handled over 1,400 claims, increased our client base and workforce and introduced new products, we can certainly feel the momentum of our business shifting up a gear.
And it seems as though we’re not the only ones, as we were awarded Broker Innovation of the Year Award at Broker Network’s annual conference on Friday 7th October for our product Rural Protect.
We’ve used our inside knowledge to translate worldwide issues such as cyber crime, and industry developments into the real-life operations of small businesses in our various seminars, including an interactive session at The Great Yorkshire Show.
