All you have to do is head to our Facebook or Twitter account and comment on/reply to our competition post with a photo of what best represents Yorkshire to you. We will pick a winner at random from the successful entrants.

You have until midnight on Yorkshire Day (Sunday 1st August) to submit your photo, and the winner will be announced at midday on Monday 2nd August on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Yorkshire Day is celebrated each year on the 01st August.

When was Yorkshire Day first celebrated?

It was first celebrated in 1975 by the Yorkshire Ridings Society. This is following a protest movement against the local government re-organisation of 1974.
