We have 2 new key appointments at McClarrons

Philippa Farthing and Alastair Morley have both joined McClarrons in the past month and will support the advancement of the company’s proposition and expansion. Philippa joins us as Group Finance & Operations Director, whilst Alastair takes on the role of Head of Claims.

Philippa joins us from The Ardonagh Group – a group of businesses providing insurance broking and underwriting services across the globe. Philippa is an experienced Accountant and has 20 years’ experience working in the insurance industry, holding finance lead roles across the distribution chain. Philippa’s role will see her supporting and driving the McClarrons’ continual progression from an operational and financial perspective, helping us seek out and take on new opportunities to drive the business forward.

As Head of Claims, Alastair will oversee, and continue to develop, the claims offering provided by McClarrons. Our in-house claims team is something we are very proud of, with many brokers now out-sourcing. We believe the true value of an insurance policy is seen when it comes to making a claim and offer fully guided claims management for clients when the worst happens. Alastair brings a wealth of knowledge to the business having worked for 7 years as a Senior Solicitor in insurer, Hiscox’s, claims team. Prior to this, a 14 PQE solicitor, Alastair worked in a number of national private practice law firms.

Sean McClarron, Managing Director, commented: “We are delighted to welcome both Philippa and Alastair to the business. We have always strived to provide excellent service to our clients at McClarrons and with the addition of two highly qualified and experienced insurance-professionals, we are looking forward to seeing how we can improve our offering, whilst continuing to provide development opportunities for our team, helping them to progress and achieve in their insurance careers.”

We have recruited in every one of our departments in the past 18 months as we continue to deliver creative insurance solutions for clients in each of our niche sectors, including Farm, Care & Social Welfare, Commercial and Art & Private Clients.
