Earlier this year, we introduced three new starters across our Operations, Farm, and Care & Social Welfare teams, demonstrating our strong commitment to growth. Continuing with this momentum, we recently welcomed three more new starters: Helen, Fiona, and Daniel.
Daniel has joined our Arts & Private Clients team, McClarrons Affinity, as a Client Advisor, bringing over 20 years of knowledge and experience in the insurance industry. Daniel started his career as a Compliance Analyst at Swinton Insurance and later worked as a Customer Service Manager, leading a team of 20 advisors. In his latest role, Daniel coached individuals studying for their insurance apprenticeships. Now, Daniel is working with our private clients to assist them in sourcing comprehensive insurance for their high value homes and assets.
Daniel’s love for the insurance industry stems from its focus on relationship building, which also attracted him to McClarrons. “Since starting, I’ve noticed that the company culture is very people-focused, so I am really pleased my gut instincts were right. I am eager to enjoy my journey and deliver excellent customer service.”, Daniel said of his appointment.
Outside of work, Daniel is very sociable. He owns a bar as a part-time hobby, serves as a trustee of a multi-academy trust with two primary schools in Manchester, and is also studying to qualify as a counsellor.
Head of McClarrons Affinity, Ben Pickles said of Daniel’s appointment, “Daniel’s knowledge and expertise makes him a great asset to our team and I’m excited to see him make valuable contributions to our progress.”
Assisting the operations of the business, and more specifically the Finance Team, Fiona and Helen have joined as our two new Finance Assistants.
Fiona brings a wealth of experience from working in both small and large companies. Before joining us, Fiona worked not only in finance but also in administration, HR, warehouse management, and stock control. She is an avid problem-solver who strives to make a positive difference while enjoying her work and the company of her colleagues.
Fiona said of her appointment: “I am very lucky and grateful to have this opportunity at McClarrons, and my experience so far has been very positive. Everyone has been so lovely and friendly. From what I have seen, everyone truly incorporates the values that are advertised and encouraged.”
Off the clock, Fiona enjoys walking with her dog, knitting, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Earlier this year, Helen moved from Kent to Yorkshire to enjoy a better quality of life in the countryside. She has primarily worked across various departments in car and travel insurance companies, including customer services, claims, complaints, cost containment, and audit. In her previous role, she was a Patient Flow & Quality Coordinator at a mental health hospital, which was an educational experience for her.
Helen resonated with McClarrons’ core values and said “I am happy to be joining the team. Everyone so far seems so friendly and welcoming, which has made my new start easier. I look forward to working with everybody further.”
Outside of work, Helen is kept busy by her 9-year-old daughter, who she enjoys horse riding with, and her two dogs, Cookie and Coco.
We’re excited to welcome our new team members and see them develop into their roles. If you’re interested in a career at McClarrons, you can understand more about our vision and core values here and view our current vacancies here.
