Thank you to our partners

Thank you to our partners

We would like to thank our partners, old and new, for their continued support and effort in the projects we have accomplished together over the past 17 months. Sticking to the theme of our recent few blogs, we are looking back on how our partners have flourished during these unprecedented times, and also the new organisations that we’ve partnered with along the way.

Here are just a few of our partners who have developed with us since the pandemic began.

Care & Social Welfare partners

Care Improvement Associates

CIA are a leading national network of over 40 approved care quality and compliance experts, and one of our McClarrons Care Network specialist suppliers.

We have partnered in many projects over the past year and more, one being the recently co-sponsored masterclasses: a free webinar series intended for care providers, covering a variety of topics to help providers offer the very best care. We were proud to have been able to support Be Outstanding’s first masterclass: Joining The Dots – Mental Capacity Across The KLOE’s, back in April.

Be Outstanding is a care quality software that is aligned with the CQC’s Key Lines of Enquiry and allows you to quickly capture and showcase evidence of your outstanding care to the CQC, in real-time. After seeing a demo of the software, we can see its potential and understand how improving regulatory ratings can reduce risk.

We understand the benefits of using a Care Consultancy, like Care Improvement Associates when it comes to insurance. But the benefits of utilising CIA don’t just stop with care providers, they have applied to us too during our many discussions and ideas on how they can assist us with our own product developments.

Social Farms & Gardens

Social Farms & Gardens is a UK wide charity supporting communities to farm, garden and grow together. Although having partnered with them back in 2019, Social Farms & Gardens really have come a long way.

Fabia, Care & Social Welfare Team Account Handler, comments: “This year has been a fantastic year in growing our partnership with Social Farms and Gardens. Since Covid began, we have taken on 91 new Social Farms & Gardens clients, with over half coming on cover since February. Over a third of the clients taking out insurance took out additional cover such as Commercial Vehicle, Rural Protect, Riding or Livestock. We have worked closely with Social Farms & Gardens, taking part in several McClarrons-led webinars including one about Rural Protect and Risk Management. We also sponsored their 40th Anniversary Awards in March and judged their ‘Making the Biggest Difference’ Award. We regularly attend their group meetings too, offering insurance advice to all their attendees.”

As lockdown restrictions were easing and the weather was getting better, like in previous years, it meant that many social farms and community gardens were looking forward to a summer of events. Ready for Social Farms & Gardens’ Have a Grow Day, back in June, we put together a video for members to learn about what to look out for and consider when arranging insurance for their events.

Appreciating the difficult times faced by Social Farms & Gardens members, we also put together some information packs to assist them with their insurance and risk management, including a helpful flowchart showing the right insurance to pair with the specific activity in place.

OnCare

As another one of our McClarrons Care Network specialist suppliers, we were thrilled to be able to introduce OnCare’s newest feature back in March. We were excited to see how their new feature, Visit Types, could help to deliver the best possible care and be more person-centred while reducing risk by avoiding missed medications or other key activities.

Another feature of theirs is Electronic Call Monitoring (ECM), which has the ability to record times, locations and activities of all care worker visits. Verifying that the care worker was at the correct client location, helps to monitor completed/missed visits, and helps safeguard both clients and staff. McClarrons customers can access the ECM system for just £40.00 per location per month – a discount of 60% against new customer rates.

Rural partners

IAgSA

Over the years, we’ve celebrated our partnership with IAgSA at many of their annual conferences. These events have allowed us to host workshops, where we help members understand the possible risks that they and their businesses face, and how we can help.

We have recently hosted a number of webinars for IAgSA, including one for their annual conference, back in February, where we talked to members about our specialist rural insurance offering, including Professional Indemnity insurance.

In May, our ‘An Introduction to Cyber Risks & Cyber Insurance’ webinar for IAgSA members, was hosted by our Farm Account Handler, Zoe Tilling, with Simon Hughes, Head of CFC Underwriting’s Cyber Team, as a guest contributor. We also put together our IAgSA booklet for this year’s conference, which covered various risks and policies that their members may wish to consider.

Flood Innovation Centre

We want to help our clients protect their businesses into the future. By working with the Flood Innovation Centre, we were pleased to be able to invite farmers and land managers interested in understanding the benefits of natural flood management interventions and potential funding streams, to an interactive online course, back in May.

Natural Flood Management (NFM) can play an important role in improving the flood resilience of agricultural land, can be beneficial to soil quality – thus potentially improving crop yield – and can provide wider environmental benefits by controlling run off from the land.

Their workshops provided farming and agricultural businesses with a greater understanding of the wide range of NFM measures available. Each workshop contained a mixture of information, case studies, exercises and discussions. They brought together representatives from the various stakeholder groups responsible for delivering NFM, as well as providing details of the opportunities, and encouraging communication to develop a shared understanding of effective NFM.

We appreciate that not everyone has time to set aside for courses, so we advise our clients to get in touch for more information about flood management and funding. Contact our Farm Team on 01653 609152 or by emailing farm@mcclarroninsurance.com

Commercial partners

Autohorn Fleet Services

Our partnership with Autohorn Fleet Services started in April 2020, with the aim to provide a competitive in-house, short-term insurance product to their customers, to improve their customer journey.

Throughout the pandemic, we worked alongside Autohorn by providing advice, product training and insurance collateral, to ensure they were confident in discussing their new product with their customers. This scheme has been a great success and their customers really started to see the benefit of using Autohorn’s in-house insurance product. We look forward to continuing work with Autohorn and seeing how this scheme grows and develops.

McClarrons Affinity partners

Twisted Automotive

As Twisted’s insurance partner, we are able to accept Twisted valuations and repairs, taking some of the hassle away in the event of a claim involving Twisted vehicles. We are also working on an exciting new project with the team at Twisted, which we will be able to share in the coming months!

Although our partnership started over 3 years ago, in June we brought to our Affinity customers the first issue of our Automotive Magazine, which included a guest article from Twisted. In this edition, we focused on Twisted Automotive, touching on how they were founded, where they have branched out, what the past twelve months have seen for the company, and the introduction of Twisted Marine.

We are very proud to work closely with Twisted and encourage our Affinity clients to visit their new showroom in the heart of Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

McClarrons Sport partners

Rocket Yard Sports

This year, sports marketing and sponsorship agency, Rocket Yard Sports, and McClarrons Sport have come together to partner up on Rocket Yard Sports’ unique and innovative service: Rocket Club. This service helps businesses create effective sport sponsorship programs within their marketing strategy, in a way that unites diversity and passion, just as sport does.

Whilst brands look to support individuals and teams through sponsorship, by utilising the three layers of service and support that the Rocket Club provide, McClarrons Sport steps in by providing sports contingency insurance to support the sponsorship.

We’re always looking for ways to offer additional benefits and value to our clients, and welcome businesses who share our values and ethos. To discuss potential projects, email us at enquiries@mcclarroninsurance.com.
