McClarrons is pleased to welcome George Clark to the business as Care Manager, further strengthening our growing Care & Social Welfare Team and reinforcing our commitment to supporting clients across the sector with specialist expertise and service.
George joins McClarrons with significant experience within the insurance industry, having most recently worked as a Branch Manager overseeing both the York and Harrogate offices at a national brokerage. Over the last six years, George has held a variety of leadership roles across both personal and commercial lines of insurance. Prior to moving into management, George worked within a Private Clients team and began his insurance journey as a Personal Lines insurance adviser, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both client service and operational leadership.
Reflecting on his career so far, George shared: “Insurance isn’t something I deliberately set out to work in but it’s a varied and constantly evolving industry, and no two days are the same. With the right company, it can be a very rewarding place to build a career.”
George was attracted to McClarrons because of its strong reputation within the insurance industry and across Yorkshire, as well as the opportunity to join a growing business within a specialist and expanding sector.
Speaking about his new role, George said: “My focus going forward is to continue developing the Care Team and deepen my understanding of the care sector as a whole to better support both clients and colleagues.”
Jonathan Copley, Head of our Care & Social Welfare Team, commented on George’s appointment: “We are really pleased to be able to add an individual of George’s experience and calibre to the team. In a very short time, George has already shown himself to be a valuable addition; we are aligned in our goals, and I look forward to supporting George in his role as Care Team Manager.”
In his role as Care Manager, George will work closely with both clients and colleagues to continue strengthening the team’s offering, supporting the ongoing development of the team and growth of the department, while ensuring the maintenance of the high standards of service McClarrons has become known for.
Outside of work, George enjoys playing tennis, swimming and spending time at the gym – although, by his own admission, mainly for the sauna, as well as spending time with his family.
We are delighted to welcome George to McClarrons and look forward to seeing the positive impact his experience, leadership, and ambition will bring to the Care Team and our clients.
