The 2016 National IAgSA Conference was held at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire and saw an array of industry experts put on workshops and presentations for IAgSA members.
McClarrons took the opportunity to hold a workshop informing members about the possible risks that they and their businesses face. Steven Swift, Head of Development at McClarrons, commented on the event: “McClarrons were delighted once again to be involved in this year’s conference, it’s a great opportunity to meet with members and discuss their Professional Indemnity requirements, as well as the steps they can take to protect themselves.”
Our workshop offered an overview of the risks that rural clients face including litigation and regulation, and how McClarrons’ product, Rural Protect, can help. Steven continued, “This unique product helps farmers to protect against the legal costs of defending prosecutions brought against them, including all UK regulators. It is important not only to make people aware of the risks that are out there, but also to inform them of the ways in which they can protect themselves. The IAgSA conference is a great place to be able to do this”.
Sally Lemonius, Vice Chairman at IAgSA, said of the workshop: “IAgSA are grateful to McClarrons for the support they give to IAgSA members and their clients during the year and for their continuing support at its Annual Conference”.
McClarrons’ collaboration with IAgSA has also led to McClarrons developing a Professional Indemnity Policy that addresses the specific needs of individuals who operate as secretaries and administrators of farms and rural enterprises. This relationship with IAgSA allows us to understand the needs of the rural community even more thoroughly. Each year McClarrons looks forward to attending the national conference; Sally Lemonius said, “IAgSA looks forward to next year’s 50th Anniversary Conference in Warwickshire and another engaging workshop from McClarrons”.
Next year’s event will be held 3rd-5th March at Walton Hall Hotel in Warwickshire.
